The Story: Inspired by the beloved story of Elmer the Patchwork Elephant, ‘Patchwork’ is a nostalgic celebration of individuality and vibrant community. This A2 piece moves away from the rigid colour-blocking of the wider series, instead presenting a sprawling, kaleidoscopic grid of 30 unique cows. It is a visual tribute to the idea that our strength and beauty lie in our variety—a sophisticated, grown-up nod to the stories that first taught us about colour.
 
The Technique: ‘Patchwork’ is one of the most detail-intensive works in the Pop Pastures collection. It features a meticulously organized "super-herd" of 30 cow silhouettes. Each cow is individually hand-painted with a unique combination of spots and tones, then suspended in our signature 5mm floating relief. The sheer density of the grid creates a mesmerizing shadow-play, turning the wall into a textured, living tapestry of colour that reacts to the shifting light of your home.
